Board of Canvassers
The Board of Canvassers is a State Mandated Board that is responsible for certifying local election results for City and School District candidates and ballot proposals. The Board consists of four residents, two Democrats and two Republicans. They meet only when there is an election where a City or School District candidate is elected, or where a City or School District ballot proposal is voted upon. Typically, then meet the day after the election where they canvass and certify the results.
