Board of Trustees Employees Retirement System
The Retirement System, which is managed by the Retirement Board, is designed to help vested and eligible City Employees meet their retirement needs consistent with the various labor agreements, individual employee contracts and the Retirement Ordinance. The Board’s fiduciary responsibility is to supervise the general administration of the System and invest its assets. Our Board retains professional consultants and money manager’s to assist in fulfilling these duties.
The Retirement Ordinance requires that the Board consist of seven members, three from City Council, one Fire Representative, one General Employee Representative, one Police Representative and one citizen appointed by the Board.
